benandsebastian – Silent Parties
160 pages. Artist book, edited and designed by benandsebastian and Alexis Mark.
Silent Parties is an artwork based on eight historic legal cases in which animals have been put on trial or robots have been at the centre of legal disputes. benandsebastian’s recently completed public commission for the Court of Aarhus focuses on mute, nonhuman participants in legal history, spanning from a 15th century case involving a cock being tried for allegedly laying an egg, to a contemporary case examining whether life-size, singing and dancing robots at an American restaurant chain should be considered live performers. benandsebastian have collaborated with specialists working within the fields of law, robotics, ethics, anthropology and cognitive science, addressing ways in which nonhumans have been silent, but also revelatory, parties in legal history.
Texts by: Benandsebastian, Adam Bencard, Lasse Blond, James Bridle, Ryan Calo, Raffael Fasel, Louis de Gouyon Matignon, Lulu Anne Hansen, Bengt Holst, Michael Listner, Yoriko Otomo, Edward Payson Evans, Lucia Pietroiusti, Laurie Shannon, Jessica Sorensen, Mette Svendsen, Karina Vold, Eyal Weizman, Kumar Yogeeswaran

DANIEL BUREN – CRISS-CROSS
A total of 39 people have contributed to CRISS-CROSS, Roulette Russe's monograph on Daniel Buren. The contributors have in common that their paths have crossed those of Daniel Buren at a formative time – for themselves as well as for Daniel Buren. CRISS-CROSS tells the story of Daniel Buren through the voices of people he has collaborated with during the last 55 years; writers, curators, gallerists, collectors, colleagues, art critics who all had an impact on shaping his life and art. The written contributions are accompanied by a generous amount of captivating visual material referring to the projects Buren did through the selected collaborations.

Through the captivating and peculiar photographs the publication offers an important historical insight and stands as significant visual communication of colonial times in Greenland. The photographs are captured in a period spanning from 1889-1935, nearly 100 years before Inuuteq Storch was born, and portray the many newly arrived Danes from a Greenlandic perspective. The book sets off with a preface by geologist Minik Rosing and John Møller is introduced by researcher at the National Museum of Greenland Kirstine Møller.

The music on the vinyl's A-side is performed by local citizens and the B-side is the same musical material, but only performed by Greve on abandoned local places.
(Ralf Christensen, Information)

Asbjørn Sand – SLIP
SLIP is an intense documentation of the skateboarding community in Denmark shot by photographer Asbjørn Sand. It is a story from the inside of a universe we have rarely seen described in this light. Skateboarding is often shown as rock ’n’ roll and dangerous tricks, but it is also a sensitive perception of the human experience of the gap between youth and adulthood. SLIP is the 99 %, the everyday skateboarders. Portrayed here is youthful doubt, searching, loving, and a community surrounding skateboarding. The book takes us by the hand into the lives and the emotions of a portrayed group of skateboarders.
The pictures from SLIP have won international awards, among others the main prize at the Italian photo festival Cortona On The Move 2012, one of the images was on the cover of the first book about the Danish skateboarding history ‘Dansk Skateboarding’. The project was shown alongside an interview with Asbjørn Sand in the New York Times' photoblog Lens.
The introduction to SLIP is written by Nikolaj Zeuthen who is a poet, writer, and lead singer of the band Skammens Vogn.
(Mette Sandbye, Weekendavisen)

Christian Lemmerz – Disegno
Disegno, the Italian word for drawing, is an ambitious and sensuous book on Danish artist Christian Lemmerz and his artistic endeavour.

I bogen følger man to unge studerende på kunstakademiet i København.
